I have always enjoyed Ms Trejo's books but this one almost made a very sad heartbreaking situation over simplified. Without giving away the story, I can not recommend this book to anyone who has experienced loss or considered driving their own fate at the expense of those they love. The writing is good but again it over simplifies mortality. It seemed rushed and calculated. I look forward to her next work.

As the story progresses their stories are shared, some solace and danger are found, and a happy ever after is in question. Erin Trejo is turning out to be the Queen of the ugly cry books for me. I don’t know how she packs so much emotion into each of these dark and twisted Bastard’s lives and still keeps me coming back time and time again, just begging for more. Reader discretion is advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers contained within.I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Erin this was one of the best book you have written to date!! The raw emotions left me feeling powerless. The turmoil caused my heart to ache. “Four minutes. Four painstaking minutes of my life. It sounds like nothing. To some, it may be, but for me four minutes was all it took to ruin my life. That’s all it took to steal the breath from my body.â€I literally took in each and every detail written.“Maybe he’s right. Maybe I have more in me, but if that’s true, I’m not sure how. I’ve given about all I have to give. I’m still me though. I’m still Crow.â€Simply put, this was a brilliantly written and powerful book!!

Erin Trejo has done it again this series brings out the feels but this one oh my god this one broke everything... my heart bleeds with this one ... it is definitely your one I have loved everything you has e written BUT CROW hands down wins it all .. the only word that comes to mind is beautifully anguished...
